Xylo-oligosaccharide

Xylo-oligosaccharide is a functional polymerization sugar combined by 2-7 Xylose molecule and β (1-4) indican, has own distinct strongpoint compared with Lactulose, Malt-oligosaccharide, Oligo-fructose, Isomaltooligosaccharide and etc, is more popular as the new type polymerization.

1.Selectively promote esp. the proliferative activity of bifidobacterium. Xylo-oligosaccharide is the best among all polymerization sugar to help for the proliferative activity of bifidobacterium, about 20 times the function power of the others. Xylo-oligosaccharide is not absorbed by body but directly goes into the large intestine and is utilized by bifidobacterium first, shows great promotion for the proliferative activity of bifidobacterium. While malt-oligosaccharide only has activity in vitro, has very few or none activity inside intestine; Lact-ketose can promote the activity of bifidobacterium but also same time increase the colon bacillus and clostridium, does not have the selectively promotion activity esp. to bifidobacterium.
2.Hard to be decomposed by digestive enzyme, so safe to diabetic, obesity and low blood sugar patients.
3.Fewer dosage, efficient balance between function and cost compared with other polymerization sugars.


4.Stable in acid and heat.Xylo-oligosaccharide will not decompose when get heating to 100℃ by pH value 2.5-8, while Oligo-fructose is easily decomposed to glucose, sucrose and fructose in the acid situation and lose the activity, so Oligo-fructose is hard to be used in yoghourt, lactobacillus drinks, carbonated drinks and other acidic drinks.
